I know, I know... it's still mid-February. But I'm ready for spring! Don't get me wrong, I loooove winter, especially snow; but I'm especially anxious for spring to come this year because I'm itching to try some stuff on my garden. (I won't go into detail here because I've got some radical-crazy ideas and I'd rather not weird you out completely in the first attempt. SO let's just suffice to say it's gonna be awesome.)
I've got major spring fever and this week it's gonna be in full swing, since it's supposed to be in the mid 60s during the week B-) I've had my fill of snow, since it's been on the ground since the beginning of Feb, and now that it's melting... yeah. Let's just say I'm SO glad growing season starts earlier here than it did in WA or I'd go nutts. Yay for the S MO growing season B-) Even with all that though, no planting yet--I made a pact with myself. Oh how I wish we had a greenhouse! **sigh** It almost happened this year. Maybe by the time planting time comes I'll at least have some cold boxes. Is that too much to ask?
For now, I'm just scheming away to my heart's content, though. Trying to map out (in my head :-/) what will go where and when. I'm cooking up a plan for some nice tomato racks and thinking about what varieties of what I'm going to plant. I'm hoping to do more heirloom varieties this year, including some recently-accquired favorites :D If I can convince mom, I want to try some new veggies I haven't tried yet... we'll see how that goes ;)
Soooooo, ** weeks till planting!!!! wooohooo! Garden '11, here I come! B-)
